Digital Stitching |
Digital Stitching multiple images together is the best method for creating high quality 360 VR panoramas. A series of photos are taken around a single point of rotation then digitally stitched together in a computer. This method results in panoramas with exceptional detail that are even suitable for printing.See our Photo Gallery for more about panoramic prints. We use professional digital equipment, specially made VR tripods and custom built multi flash lighting systems to accurately control image rotation and proper light levels. Lighting control is extremely important as every new angle of view has it's own unique light levels, from sunny windows to dimly lit corners. Our method of supplementing natural light with directional flash produces outstanding results. |

Single Shot Mirror |
Single Shot Mirrors are a popular method of creating 360 VR panoramas. The camera is pointed directly up at a specially made convex mirror lens to capture the entire scene in just one shot. The image captured is a circular photo with a 360 degree view of the entire space. The image must then be warped or unwrapped into a linear panorama suitable for viewing. The 360 single shot mirror is fast, but reduced image quality is an unfortunate trade off for speed. However, the single shot panorama is adequate for most web presentations if fine detail is not important. Balancing light levels with the single shot system is less accurate due to the lack of directional lighting when capturing a single circular image. To help provide a moderate amount of light balance and shadow control we use a custom made dual dome fill flash lighting system. |
